Septi Bukula is the founder and director of Osiba Holdings, a multidisciplinary firm based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He has been an SME development analyst and adviser for close to 3 decades, specialising in policy, regulation, and support programmes. Since 2012 the Lilizela Award-winning business events unit of his company, Osiba Management, has hosted a number of international business events in South Africa. In 2014 Bukula was appointed by South African National Convention Bureau (SANCB) as a South Africa Business Events Ambassador in recognition of his role in “proudly representing South Africa as world-class business events destination to the world.” In 2017 Bukula established Seeza Tourism SME Network NPC, an entity dedicated to unlocking business opportunities for tourism SMEs both domestically and internationally. Within 1, 5 years, between February 2018 and July 2019, the Network channelled direct business worth just under R5 million to tourism SMEs. In 2020 Seeza Tourism Network collaborated with like-minded tourism entities in Barcelona, Jerusalem and Lisbon to co-find the World Travel Tech Forum, a collaborative network that showcases travel technology startups and SMEs around the world to foster cross-border business collaborations and access to investment and other resources. As of March 2021, the Forum had 8 hubs, including Cumbuco (Brazil), Edinburg, London, and Paris.
